Local election candidates support Knightsbridge Neighbourhood Plan

Knightsbridge Neighbourhood Forum (Forum) is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Hitchcock and Tony Devenish, Conservative candidates, are first to confirm their support for the Knightsbridge Neighbourhood Plan (Plan).

The Forum has invited candidates standing to become councillors in the Knightsbridge and Belgravia Ward in the local elections on 3 May 2018 to confirm their support for the Knightsbridge Neighbourhood Plan (Parts One and Two).

The invitation was sent to all the London political parties expected to field a candidate in the Knightsbridge and Belgravia Ward in a simultaneous tweet (see link).

The decision to invite confirmations of support was taken at the Forum’s board meeting in February 2018.  It follows a High Court judgment in January which confirmed that this is a ‘proper’ action for forums to take (see paragraph 157 below).

The Board is not making a similar request of Councillor Baroness Robathan (Conservative) who is a member of the Forum's Board which decided unanimously to submit the Plan for Examination in November 2017.  Rachael Robathan has been a highly valued member of the Board since the Forum was founded in 2015.

The Forum is also pleased to highlight a positive letter of support from Caroline Russell AM (Green) in response to Westminster City Council's Regulation 16 consultation on the Knightsbridge Neighbourhood Plan.

Note: this page will be updated periodically with further confirmations of support.
